FKS Stal Mielec Sparks Youth Passion at Ekstra Class Academy Tournaments

On May 8, 2025, the air was charged with anticipation at the Mielec facilities. FKS Stal Mielec stood proud as co-hosts of a spectacular event that was much more than just a football tournament. This was the 10th edition of the Ekstra Class Academy, a celebration of youth potential and an arena for young talents to shine.

The spotlight was firmly on the U11 teams, who battled fiercely, showcasing their skills and determination. Yet, it was more than just competition; it was a platform to promote sport, nurture burgeoning talent, and instill a love for the game. For the younger U9 players, the Funino style competitions were a joyous playground, encouraging creativity and teamwork.

The journey of this event began on May 5 with Motor Lublin, traversing Poland and culminating at the prestige of Legia Warsaw's facilities on May 25. Funded by the Ekstraklasa Foundation and the Polish Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the tournament underscored its significance on a national scale, aiming to inspire the next generation of football enthusiasts.

But what truly set this event apart was its mission. Beyond the scores and trophies, it was about igniting a passion for football in young hearts. The Ekstraklasa Foundation, with the support of all Ekstraklasa clubs, including Stal Mielec, has crafted an initiative that reaches beyond the pitch to touch lives, encouraging active lifestyles and fostering a community of young dreamers.
